Including a bequest of a percentage of your estate ensures that your gift will remain proportionate no matter how your estate’s value fluctuates over the years, while ensuring that the portion of your estate intended for your family and loved ones stays consistent.

 Leaving a gift to the Art Gallery of Alberta in your will is simple.   Speak to your lawyer about drafting or revising your will or adding a codicil. Here is some sample wording to reference:   

  • I give the Art Gallery of Alberta Society, charitable number 11923 0902 RR 0001, ____ per cent of the residue of my estate (or the sum of $____)   

  • Share the details of the gift you would like to make with us confidentially with this Planned Gift Confirmation Form. Letting us know that you have made a bequest allows us the opportunity to thank you today and ensure that your gift can make the impact you wish for the future.
