Thanks to all of our wonderful corporate sponsors who make individual exhibitions and artist work possible.
Capital Power, a long-time partner of the AGA, launched the Capital Power Indigenous Art Fund in 2023, which supports and celebrates Indigenous art and artists. In action of reconciliation, the Indigenous Art fund enables the AGA to create engaging opportunities for Albertans to connect with Indigenous culture and artistry.
Capital Power has been a lead sponsor of the AGA since the opening of the new building in January 2010 – helping present over 40 unique exhibitions and programs at the Gallery. Their support empowers the AGA to bring world-class art to Albertans and showcase Alberta art and artists to the world, while raising Edmonton’s national and international profile as the vibrant cultural centre that it is.
“Capital Power is proud to partner with the AGA to focus on the depth, breadth and beauty of Indigenous art and artists. As a world-class cultural facility, the AGA is an important space for our community to gather to celebrate Indigenous culture, art and history in the spirit of reconciliation.” – Kate Chisholm, Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer of Capital Power.

ATB
Why does ATB support the arts? Because artists draw. Compose. Paint. Dance. Write. They shape, show and mix. They challenge. They judge. They aim. They stay true. They know what it’s like to be alone. They bring us together. Their spirit of creativity and fearlessness makes Alberta, and the world around us, a better place. And that is worth supporting, year after year after year.
RBC Foundation
The RBC New Works Gallery features new artworks by Alberta artists. Initiated in 1998 and named the RBC New Works Gallery in 2008, this gallery space continues the Art Gallery of Alberta’s tradition of supporting Alberta artists. Presented with the support of the RBC Emerging Artists Project.
Poole Centre of Design
The Poole Centre of Design is an integrated series of programs organized and presented by the Art Gallery of Alberta.
Programs at the Poole Centre of Design seek to generate new ideas and discussion about contemporary issues in design. These programs encourage you to examine the daily design decisions–both large and small—that are made by and impact everyone.
From school tours and education programs to workshops, exhibitions and symposia, the Poole Centre of Design provides opportunities for people of all ages to explore design ideas.
The Poole Centre of Design is made possible by a generous donation from the John and Barbara Poole Family Fund, through the Edmonton Community Foundation. John and Barbara Poole were great patrons of the arts who believed in engaging people of all walks of life in art and design. The AGA is honoured to continue their legacy through the Poole Centre of Design.
