TREX Central & Northeast (Region 2)
The Alberta Foundation for the Arts Travelling Exhibition Program (TREX) strives to ensure every Albertan is provided with an opportunity to enjoy fully developed exhibitions in schools, libraries, health care centres, smaller rural institutions, and galleries throughout the province. The TREX program assists in making both the AFA's extensive art collection and the work of contemporary Alberta artists available to Albertans.
The Art Gallery of Alberta manages TREX Central and Northeast Alberta (Region 2). Through this AFA funded program, the Art Gallery of Alberta produces new exhibitions of contemporary and AFA collection artwork to tour Alberta. On average these exhibitions ship to 60 venues in over 50 communities each year!
