“Identity Ether” invites viewers on a contemplative journey through the complex interplay between self-discovery and self-definition. The showcased photographs delve into nuanced realms of identity where Self is explored through the tapestry of cultural and societal ideologies, career, creativity, death, and the psyche. The photographs, many of which are self-portraits, aim to capture the intangible, abstract, and metaphysical though the physical subject of body. Each image serves as a visual narrative, encouraging introspection on the diverse and interconnected layers that form an individual’s sense of self. This exhibition sparks dialogue and serves as a thought-provoking investigation of the multifaceted influences on who we choose to be.
This exhibition is curated by Alexis-Marie Chute and organized by Art Sales and Rental.
