This new exhibition brings together the work of two renowned contemporary Canadian artists – Damian Moppett and Ron Moppett. Exploring the commonalities and intersections of their artistic practices, the exhibition examines a shared interest in mining the history of art; the artists use of strategies of assemblage and collage that are both modes of production and historical references; and how each of them interprets and represents the artist and the studio as both creative subjects and sites.
The exhibition includes a large work by each of the artists in Manning Hall and the atrium.
On September 16, 2016, Damian Moppett and Ron Moppett held an Artists Talk led by arts critic Nancy Tousley.
