AGA Equity Committee

The Art Gallery of Alberta (AGA) is committed to promoting representativeness within our organization and strives to provide and maintain a fair and equitable environment for all by valuing and respecting individual differences for our enrichment and that of the community we serve. We oppose racism against Black, Indigenous and all people of colour as well as discrimination in all forms against LGBTQ2SIA people, and those with stigmatized identities and disabilities.

As part of our commitment, the AGA has set up an Equity Committee and works to address issues of equity, representation and inclusion, with a view to overcoming systemic racism, discrimination and oppression within our organization and the visual arts sector in Alberta.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey about the Alberta Biennial of Contemporary Art. We appreciate your time and insight, which will help guide the planning of future Alberta Biennials. What We Heard summary report of the survey is now available. If you have questions about the survey, survey results or other AGA initiatives, please email info@youraga.ca.
